Discover the island of Voorne-Putten
and enjoy the freedom!

Oudenhoorn is located on Voorne-Putten. This is the first island under Rotterdam. In the immediate
vicinity are the sea, beach and dunes between Rockanje and Oostvoorne, but also the historic
fortified towns of Brielle and Hellevoetsluis.
You can also enjoy the peace and quiet in the nearby Bernisse and Beningerslikken nature reserves.
There is plenty to do at Voorne-Putten! The tourist office is happy to inform you about all the
possibilities.

Voorne-Putten

Voorne-Putten is an island of contrasts, 2 worlds on 1 island. These contrasts make Voorne-Putten
exciting and surprising. From the port city of Rotterdam you cross a border into a beautiful area
where you can exercise and relax, recharge and discharge. The versatility of the area is reflected in a
visit to the municipalities of Voorne and Putten. Hellevoetsluis and Brielle in particular have a past
that is as illustrious as it is interesting.

Cycling and walking

The entire area around the campsite has an extensive network of cycling and walking paths. And the
nearest beach is only 5km away. Just a few minutes’ walk from the campsite you will be in nature.
The area is also a paradise for bird watchers. (That’s partly why many of our facilities are named after
bird names!)

Haringvliet

The campsite itself is practically located on the Haringvliet. This is part of the largest nature reserve
in the Netherlands; the NLDelta (see the website nldelta.nl). Due to the partially open locks, seals are
even swimming in the Haringvliet again and salmon have been released from Germany, which will
also find their way to this water. In short, a unique ecosystem that will continue to be expanded in
the future and will play a major role in tourism within the region.

In summary; the campsite is located in an ideal environment for a broad target group of
holidaymakers with something for everyone. Nature, the beach, historic towns, sports and culture are all just a stone’s throw away.
